Sengreen, Sedum, 10cm square
Sengreen (Sedum sarmentosum) - 10cm square
Sengreen that has grown in my home garden.
I believe it is Sedum sarmentosum 'Morimura'.
It grows into a cute, ball-like shape.
When it grows too much, it becomes flat (photo 3).
It blooms with small yellow flowers (photo 4).
Since it has grown too much (-_-;), I will dig up about a 10cm square portion, pack it in a food container like one for mini tomatoes, and send it via fourth-class mail.

How to Grow Sedum sarmentosum 'Morimura'
Growing Environment
It adapts to environments from full sun to bright shade.
Flowering is proportional to sunlight, but it will grow without problems as long as it's not in complete shade.
Winter Care
It has excellent cold tolerance among succulents.
When exposed to cold or frost, the leaves turn reddish, but they will return to their beautiful color in spring.
For potted plants, move them under the eaves where they can be protected from frost.
In areas where freezing is a concern, bring them indoors for winter.
Watering
For garden plants, rainfall is sufficient.
For potted plants, water thoroughly after the soil surface has completely dried out.
Keep wintering plants on the drier side.
Fertilizer
Garden plants do not require fertilization.
For potted plants, apply a small amount of diluted liquid fertilizer during the growing season, excluding mid-summer.
Planting and Repotting
The best times are April-June and September-October, excluding mid-summer.
Planting
For garden plants, mix in leaf mold with the soil to create a well-draining environment.
If the soil drainage is poor, mix in perlite or river sand, or consider raised planting.
For potted plants, commercially available succulent soil can be used. If you are concerned about dryness, a general soil mix such as 7 parts Akadama soil and 3 parts leaf mold is also fine.
Repotting
If the plant has grown too much, divide the clumps.
Propagation (Clump Division)
It can be easily propagated by dividing the clumps.
Divide the spreading clumps, ensuring they have roots, and replant them.
Diseases and Pests
There are almost no occurrences of diseases or pests.
